Choose your workspace appearance

Select a studio palette and light, dark, or system mode without changing course colors.

Choose a comfortable authoring workspace without changing the experience you designed for learners.

Open Appearance using the palette icon in the app header.
Choose a Theme: Tidal Ink, Cobalt & Linen, or Aubergine & Copper.
Choose Light, Dark, or System under Mode. System follows your device’s appearance preference.

The change applies to the Studio on this browser. New browser preferences start with Cobalt & Linen in light mode. A theme you already chose on this browser stays as it is. Reset appearance restores that default.

Keep course appearance separate

The app header, outline, toolbar, and inspector follow your workspace appearance. Course content has its own colors and typography. To change those, open Course settings and use Course appearance. See Course themes and layouts.

The help center also has its own light, dark, and system setting. Changing it doesn’t change the Studio or your courses.
