Learning Studio / start

Create your first course

Create a course, add your first content, and check the learner preview.

Start with one page: a short introduction and something for learners to read or do. This walkthrough takes you from a blank course to a learner preview using manual authoring. You won’t need to make an AI request.

Sign in to Learning Studio, then:

  1. Open Studio home and choose Create course.
  2. Choose Start with → Blank course, give your course a descriptive title, and choose Create and open.
  3. Select a page in the outline. Add a Rich text block and write a short introduction that tells learners what the course will help them do.
  4. Select the block, then choose Edit properties to open its controls in the inspector. Add another block with something for learners to read or do.
  5. Wait for the save indicator to confirm that your changes are saved.
  6. Open Preview to see the page as a learner. Switch device size to check the layout.

When you want to plan goals and pages before you write, Plan with a blueprint is the recommended Start with option; it opens Learning Design on the Blueprint tab. See Plan before you build.

In Preview, read the introduction and the content that follows. Is it clear what learners should do next? This check can help you spot a missing explanation or instruction.

Return to Studio home and reopen your course. Check that the title and content are still there. Before inviting a reviewer, open Review in the editor toolbar to look for missing information.

Choose Create course, then Start with → Ascent showcase · six pages to create an editable example with native blocks, interactive HTML/SVG scenes, and mountain-inspired styling. It is your own course; you can change or delete it. Use it to explore the editor, then replace the examples with content appropriate for your learners.

Keep the editor open and follow Save and recover your work.

Use Preview to inspect the learner experience. When you’re ready to share it, publish the course to the web.

The editor labels the course Draft · never published until you publish it.
