Troubleshoot a course
Find the symptom, check possible causes, and gather useful details if you need help.
Start with the section that matches what you’re seeing. Preserve your draft before reporting a problem. If saving has failed, keep the editor open and follow Save and recover your work.
You can’t open a course
Section titled “You can’t open a course”Check that you’re signed in to the intended account and using the correct course link.
If you’re opening a course for review, ask the owner to confirm that the invited email matches your signed-in account. An inaccessible course hasn’t necessarily been deleted.
Sign-in
Section titled “Sign-in”The sign-in screen asks for Email and Password, then Sign in. If Email is empty, the form shows Enter your email. under the field.
If you open a course while signed out, Sign in returns you to that course. Learning Studio only returns to a page on this site. It will not follow an address that points somewhere else, or back to the sign-in screen.
An image, file, or embed doesn’t load
Section titled “An image, file, or embed doesn’t load”Ask the author to check Files and the affected block’s media reference. Private media requires access, and the signed link used to display it expires.
For an external embed, check that its address starts with https:// and that the provider is available.
An AI suggestion is unavailable or out of date
Section titled “An AI suggestion is unavailable or out of date”Save your current work, check the selected scope and locks, then request a fresh suggestion. A canceled or out-of-date suggestion must not replace newer work.
AI Assist works on one page at a time. The same AI Assist experience appears in the toolbar and in the inspector’s AI Assist tab. Open a content page rather than the cover — AI Assist doesn’t edit the cover yet.
You can’t move to a later page
Section titled “You can’t move to a later page”Check whether the course uses ordered navigation and whether there’s a scored quiz you haven’t passed. In an ordered course, a scored quiz can block access to later pages.
Completing a practice check or checklist doesn’t satisfy that scored-quiz requirement. See Practice and check understanding for more about quizzes and progression.
If you need to report the problem
Section titled “If you need to report the problem”Preserve your draft, then record:
- The app release label.
- The page you were on and the action you took.
- What you expected to happen.
- What happened instead.
If you include screenshots, show only course content you intend to share.
